What we believe.
Section 1.
The
Scriptures Inspired
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a
revelation from God to man;
the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is
superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason (II Timothy
3:15, 16;
I Peter 2:2).
Section
2.
The One
True God
We believe in God, the Father, eternal and
almighty, creator of all things.
(Ephesians 3:9, Genesis 1:1)
Section 3.
The Son
of God
We believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the
Son of God, in His virgin birth, His Deity, His resurrection and ascension.
(Luke 1:27-31, John 3:16, Acts 1:9, Matthew 28:5-6)
Section
4.
The
Holy Ghost
We believe in the Holy Ghost, that His is
the third person in the Heavenly Godhead, and is the gift of God for those who
have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus.
(John
15:26,
14:16, John 17 & 26)
Section 5.
Man,
His fall and Redemption
Man was created good and upright – for God
said, “let us make man in our image, after our likeness”.
“But man, by voluntary transgression fell and his
only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.”
(Genesis 1:26-31:
Genesis 3:1-7;
Romans 5:12-21).
Section
6.
The
Salvation of Man
1.)
Conditions to Salvation-We believe in the New Birth, that when a sinner comes
to God and repents of his sins and receives forgiveness, that he is made a new
creature in Christ Jesus.
(John 3:3, II Corinthians 5:17)
2.)
The Evidences of Salvation- The inward evidence, to the believer of salvation, is
the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans
8:16); the outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and
true holiness.
Section 7.
Baptism
in Water
The ordinance of baptism by with Christ
should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures, by all who have really
repented and in their hearts they have truly believed on Christ as Savior and
Lord.
In so doing, they have a body washed in pure water
as an outward symbol of cleansing; while their heart has already been sprinkled
with the Blood of Christ as an inner cleansing; thus they declare to the world
that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to
walk in newness of life.
We believe in water baptisms by immersion in
the name of the Father and the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47, 48:
Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22; Acts 8:36;
Acts 16:33; Mark
16:16)
Section 8.
Entire
Sanctification
The Scriptures teach a life of Holiness
without which no man shall see the lord.
By the power of the Holy Ghost we are able to obey
the command, “Be ye Holy, for I am Holy”.
Entire Sanctification is the will of God for all
believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word
(Hebrews
12:14; I Peter 1:15, 16; I Thessalonians 5:23, 24; I John 2:6)
We believe in sanctification; that it is the
cleansing of the heart; the changing of the carnal nature to the divine nature;
and that it is wrought by the application of the Blood of Jesus Christ through
faith and consecration to God; and that this experience of grace is subsequent
(after) the new birth.
(Romans 12:1, I Thessalonians 5:22-23)
Section 9.
The
Promise of the Father
All believers are entitled to, and should
ardently expect, and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism in
the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of the Lord Jesus Christ.
This was the normal experience of all in the early
Christian Church.
With it comes the enduement of power for
life and service, the bestowment of the Gifts or manifestations and their uses
in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49: Acts 1:4: I Corinthians 12:1-31) this
wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the
new birth (Acts
10:44-46;
11:14-16; 15:7-9)
Section 10.
The
Evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost
The Baptism of the believers in the Holy
Ghost is witnessed by the physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the
Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4)
The speaking in tongues in this instance is the
same in essence as the gift of tongues (I Corinthians 12:4, 10, 28) but
different in purpose and use.
Section 11.
The
Church
We believe in the
Divine
Church; built by
Jesus Christ, which includes all who are borned of the Spirit into the family of
God.
We do not believe you have to belong to any one
certain church or organization that man has named, but must be born of the
Spirit of God according to John 3:3-8.
We do feel, however, that every Christian should
have a home church, whereby in assembling together puts forth great effort in
the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
(Ephesians 2:19-22)
Section 12:
The
Lord’s Supper and Washing of the Saints Feet
The Lord’s Supper, consisting elements,
bread and fruit of the vine, is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine
nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (II Peter 1:4); a memorial of His suffering and
death (I Corinthians
11:26); and is enjoined on all believers “until He comes”.
We believe in the Holy Communion and washing
of the Saints feet, and feel that both should be carried out just as Jesus left
us the example to do as He had done.
(I Corinthians 11:23; Luke 22:L17-20; John
13:14-15)
Section 13:
The
Ministry and Evangelism
A divinely called and scripturally ordained
ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose:
(1) the evangelization of the world, and (2) the
edifying of the body of Christ (Mark 16:15-20; Ephesians 4:11-13)
We believe in the support of the ministry;
in so doing everyone should stand firmly by His
Church;
that they who preach the Gospel should live of the
Gospel, and that the laborer is worthy of his hire.
We believe God’s financial plan for the support of
His work is tithes and offerings, and that every Christian should give according
as god hath prospered him.
(I Corinthians 9:14; I Timothy
5:17-18, Romans 12:1-7, Malachi
3:10)
Section 14:
Divine
Healing
Deliverance from sickness is provided for in
the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew
8:16, 17)
Section
15:
The
Second Coming or Blessed Hope
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their
translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the
lord is the Blessed Hope of the Church (I Thessalonians 4:16-18; Romans 8:23; I
Corinthians 15:51,52; Revelation 11:15)
Section
16:
The
Millennial Reign of Jesus
We believe in the millennial reign; that all
the Saints of God from the beginning of creation will reign with Christ a
thousand years upon the earth, following the first resurrection and that the
unjust will perish by the wrath of God to wait the second resurrection.
At the time the Saints are reigning with Christ a
thousand years, the Devil will be bound a thousand years, the ungodly having
been destroyed by the wrath of God.
(Revelation 20:1-7)
Section
17:
The
Lake of
Fire
The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever
is not found written in Book of life, shall be consigned to everlasting
punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the
second death (Revelation 19:20; Revelation 21:22)
Section
18:
The New
Heavens and New Earth
We, “according to His promise, look for new
heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness: (II Peter
3:13; Revelation
21:22)
Section
19:
Tithing
The scriptural principle of tithing, which was used by Abraham before the
law was given (Hebrews 7:9,10), is still the Lord’s plan for ensuring the
Church’s physical needs are met and His children are blessed (Malachi3:10;
Matthew 23:23)
